One big chicken with a whole lotta co-op goodness is soon headed your way, Seattle! From August 30th through September 2nd, you can find The Behemoth crew in Booth #1501 of the Arch Expo Hall from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily! We’ll be near the Skybridge on the 4th floor.
We’ve prepared quite a few moments of merriment for this year’s PAX West, so let’s get right into it, shall we?
#BuckleYourPAX with a daily Cat Guard photo contest!
Traveling with us all the way from San Diego to Seattle is one special feline security pal, our beloved Cat Guard statue. Don’t take the straight face too seriously – this Cat Guard doesn’t bite and is ready to take fun photos with humans, AND you could win a $100 gift card for our merch store just by uploading your picture to social media! Wait, what?
- Swing by Booth #1501 and snap a photo with our Cat Guard! Use our selection of theater props to make us smile!
- Post your photo on Instagram or Twitter (*cough* X) with the hashtag #BuckleYourPAX before 4:00 PM.
- A winner will be contacted after 4:00 PM, with an option to redeem their $100 at the show or receive a $100 e-gift card after the show concludes.

In addition to running our #BuckleYourPAX photo contest and newsletter raffle from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM DAILY, we also have rotating daily competitions and EVEN MORE EXCITEMENT PLANNED…
For Friday, that excitement is Behemoth Co-founder and Art Director Dan Paladin signing your stuff from 2:00 – 3:00 PM! Come by the booth with a beloved Behemoth character in mind for him to doodle on any plush, chicken tee, physical game, or trusted notebook you desire!
After getting your favorite Behemoth merch signed, why not stick around for a classic Back Off Barbarian competition? Survive the longest in the fast-paced Castle Crashers minigame, and you might just find yourself sipping sweet victory from our NEW Necromancer Tiki Mug!
- Line up at the Back Off Barbarian arcade cab ahead of 3:00 PM (no sign-ups).
- Competitors will step up one at a time and have one chance to last as long as possible.
- Outlast all your competition and win the grand prize: a Back Off Barbarian trophy, Necromancer Tiki Mug, and more goodies!
- In appreciation of all who show up and visit The Big Chicken, we have participation tchotchkes for all human chickens who compete!
Saturday: Intergalactic Alien Hominid Invasion Party!

On Saturday, we’re celebrating all things alien with a special guest performance from Patric Catani! Who’s ready to BAPI BAPI BREAK IT DOWN and dance together to some BUMPIN’ Behemoth tunes in the expo hall???!! Patric is a longtime collaborator of The Behemoth and has contributed delightful ear tunes for BattleBlock Theater and Pit People, and he most recently composed the Alien Hominid Invasion OST! We love the vibrant energy Patric has added to our games and can’t wait to celebrate his efforts on the dance floor!
Dancing aliens not included, but I did hear Dan Paladin might be around, getting down to some sick extraterrestrial beats and signing autographs in the crowd.
After Patric’s set, the party continues with our Alien Hominid Invasion SOLO BONUS CHALLENGE! Here’s some intel straight from the Mothership on how to join:
- Swing by Booth #1501 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM to sign up!
- Check in with Behemoth staff and line up near the Alien Hominid Invasion stations at 3:00 PM.
- Competitors will take turns playing through Alien Hominid Invasion’s Bonus level, and whoever gets the furthest with the highest score wins!
- Grand prize includes an alien trophy, Alien Hominid YouTooz figurine, and more!
- All participants earn a special patch from the Mothership – she’s proud of you no matter what!
Sunday: BattleBlock Theater 2v2 Ball Game Tournament and more signing!

Dan will be signing from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on Sunday for the last time during the show. Don’t forget to swing by if you want any of your Behemoth goodies signed!
Starting at 3:00 PM is our BattleBlock Theater Arena Tournament! Eight teams of two will battle it out for a chance to win a shiny Hatty Hattington trophy. Ooooooh, aaaaaah. Who doesn’t want a shiny Hattington cheering them on for life???
- Swing by Booth #1501 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM to sign up with your team name.
- Check in with Behemoth staff at the BattleBlock Theater arcade cabinets at 2:50 PM.
- The team that comes out on top earns a handcrafted BattleBlock Theater trophy, Cat Guard piggy bank, and more!
- Second place wins a BattleBlock Theater merch pack, and ALL participants receive a keychain.
- Stick around for a group photo and cheer on the final teams!

Don’t cry at the thought of PAX coming to a close – smile because you still have a chance to beat a Behemoth dev chicken at their own game! To close out the show, longtime Behemoth Programmer (currently saving the world!) Mike “The Bearded Chicken” Welsh will once again don a chicken suit and face opponents in a 1v1 speedrun through the first level of Alien Hominid HD.
